We're one step closer to a new critical care center for the region. A ceremonial groundbreaking was held Wednesday for the new seven story facility. The Sands-Constellation Critical Care Center will be located on the campus of Rochester General Hospital on Portland Avenue. A $20 million gift from Constellation Brands and its CEO are helping to fund the construction. New operating rooms, special care nursery rooms and private patient rooms are planned as part of the construction.
